Star in the sky
Well, I've been noticing that I've been going a tad overboard on WoW lately, so today I set some time by to level up some of my pokemon, and I remember why I haven't played it lately. There's not that much to do after beating the game other then fighting your friends, and no one seems to want to do that with me lately. On the other hand, though, it's fun EV training (If you don't know what that is, I'll gladly explain it to you in another post).

Loving Wrath
Yeah, I bet that what most people thought when I didn't post for a while, but what can I say, Wrath of the Lich King is fun. Just like how Blizz did different quests in the begining of the Burning Crusade to make it more fun then just a simple grind fest, they did the same thing here in Wrath. And I must say its' quite enjoyable to go to the Flight Point and end up flying on a dragon or airplane instead of the normal flying mount.
Also, turns out that Shadowmeld has a new effect! It's basicly a free Feign Death/Vanish now for all Night Elves, and for those of us who were Hunters and Rouges already... Let's just say that PVE is going to be a bit more fun to do.

Holy Queue!
Alright, with Wrath Released, I was expecting crap loads of Death Knights. I was expecting some lag and latency issues, and I was expecting that I wouldn't be able to get the game itself for a few days after release. But nothing could have EVER prepared me for waiting a good half an hour just to log into Aranis today.
I mean, I know that everyone and his brother would try to get into the game, but did they have to come to my server? Well, alright, I know other servers are having issues as well (Argent Dawn has a waiting list into an hour long wait).
Well, on the good side, there's nothing but the newly Rolled Death Knights about in Hellfire Peninsula to bug me while I get my Mining and Engineering up.

Meta-Banned
Recently in the land of Smashboards, there has been a rather interesting discussion going about. The subject: Banning.
Now Banning something in the game isn't too uncommon. Many stages are considered unfair or able to be exploited by certain characters, thus earning them the victory through this exploitation. Items themselves have been removed from all competitive forms of play, since it is seen as not only a distraction and crutch by some, but also the complete and total removal of an assured victory just because a bomb appeared right as the victor attacks, blowing up and costing them their win.
However, never before in any of the Smash games has a specific character been targeted for the Ban, in this particular case, that of Kirby's advisably and sometimes ally, Meta Knight. The claim seems to run that the Star Warrior is just too good of a fighter, capable of fighting all opponents as well as being the main choice for both newbies and pros alike.
Now, while I cannot say whether or not that this character has enough reason behind him to be removed from the roster of selectable characters, I can say that it's still too early to really determine if it should happen since Brawl has only been released for little over half a year. As any competitive player can tell you, the Meta game can change time and again once some one uses a strategy that wasn't used before, or finds something that the creators hadn't intended.
Now, while we can't depend on that to happen and bring other characters to the forefront, I say that only if this trend continues on until at least a year of the games release can a Banning even be thought of. Really, though, Meta Knight seems to die to my Wario Waft every time.

Just not 4kids
Alright, I know this isn't exactly related to video games or, but this is something I've just gotta really get off my mind before I go crazy. I sincerely and completely hate 4kids Entertainment.
Originating as a company that obtained licenses to Anime and the like (The first and most well known being Pokemon) 4kids has gone on the record of censoring, cutting, removing, and changing ANYTHING that they didn't consider kid friendly or American. Now while I can understand some edits (Such as a character wearing boobs that they can fill with air to cause them to grow), the others I can't nor forgive.
Every show that it's been able to get it's grubby little hands on, Pokemon, Shaman King, and probably the most famous failure of all, One Peice (which was edited so badly by the company that in the end they gave it up as a lost cause), there's little I'd ever find wothy of dealing with that has the 4kids brand name on it.
Then of course, comes the 2003 rendition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is a quality show amongst the likes of Gargoyles, Batman: The Animated Series, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. The characters have personality, conflicts, issues, so much life is given to these characters that they seem tangable. Surprisingly, 4kids left the show be, letting it grow and become a true show for everyone to enjoy, not just the 4-11 age bracket.
And then they thought better of that, deciding to completely and totaly disregard the story that the creators had set up, making for their own 'Turtles in the Future' themed story in hopes of more viewers. It's this kind of underhanded and outright disrespectful treatment to it's viewers that causes me to disregard this company and all it holds.
Japanese text isn't evil, nor is the ideas of spirts, energies, or chi. If you can't handle what was in the source material, then leave it alone. Go produce Teletubbie Movies for all I care, just stay away from what makes a show, be it Anime or an American Cartoon, the fantastic piece of fiction and entertainment it is.
Sorry that I'm using my blog for this, but I seriously needed to rant about it.

The Run for Ezra
As most over at Bigredkitty's Blog will know (Go there and read it if your a hunter in WoW), we're doing a run for Ezra, whom passed away from brain cancer recently. Already there are people getting characters and leveling up their Baby Tauren's to get ready for the big event, so I hope I'll see you all there. Give my own Tauren Driud, Imatan, a whisper!

Aranis of Dark Iron
As my first real post in my blog, as well as having only a little under a week away from the expansion, I decided to go over my character in World of Warcraft as well as tell you some of the things I think.
When it came to WoW, I got into it very late into the Burning Crusade, which is the second expansion for the MMORPG (Massively Multi player Online Role Play Game. There are SOME gamers out there that don't know what the acronym means!) Which means that all the new races and such were already available to me. Of course, though, I had a thing for the Night elves, just like every other male player in the game. So as soon as I had obtained the game, I rolled a Night Elf.
When it came to classes, I instantly chose a Hunter. Why? Well, as most you know from my original post, I'm a player of Pokemon. Have been since the game first hit America over ten years ago. And trust you me, the aspect of having a controllable little creature fighting by your side is EXACTLY what I wanted, since I had done it in Pokemon and I wanted it again since it was available in WoW.
Thus started Aranis, my lovely little Night Elf Hunter on the Dark Iron server, and I would work on her till she go all the way to 70, join up with a guild, and run through some of the hardest stuff in the game!
Well, alright, not the hardest stuff. I've done Kara, ZA, and even most of Tempest Keep, but I haven't done much other then that and I actually dislike PvP, since Hunters in particular are bad at it (Or I just haven't learned it myself). Overall, though, I love my little Elf as well as the four pets she has gathered over the course of the game, and if you're on my server, give me a shout out!

And So it Begins.
Video Games. All of us have played some kind of video game in the last 30 years of there existence, and every day they're getting more popular, so much so that they're even making more money then blockbuster movies. Three of them really made their own worth known more so then other video games about. Pokemon, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and the World of Warcraft.
As such, I think I've become rather strong at all three, having my own 70 in WoW, Won a few tourneys in Brawl, and even made my own specially trained Pokemon team, winning a few matches, and losing some as well.
However, I wanted more interaction with others then what I currently have with simply a few forums and chat. So, I greet you all to my blog and hope you'll join me in both playing our games and enjoying all what I have to offer in terms of gameplay.
Let the games begin!
